According to that article, literally hundreds of patrolmen from all across the Garden State were honored by the anti-DWI organization, Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD), for their efforts in keeping intoxicated drivers off of New Jersey roadways.
Police officers from Cape May County all the way up to Passaic County were singled out for their efforts during a ceremony in held at Middlesex County College. Of those honored, four patrolmen from the Edison, NJ, area were commended for the 50-plus DWI and DUI arrests they made in 2013. In addition to those individuals, two of the top officers in the state included a policeman from Camden County and one from Toms River, NJ, each of whom toted up more than 100 arrests last year.
Of the officers receiving special attention, those with 30 or more DWI-DUI arrests during 2013 included the following jurisdictions: Atlantic County, Bergen County, Camden County, Cumberland County, Essex County, Hudson County, Gloucester County, Middlesex County, Monmouth County, Ocean County, Passaic County and Union County. Incidentally, the top state patrol officer made 50 DWI-DUI arrests in 2013.
